The Phantoms Youth U10AAA Team in less than a week’s time, is headed up to Rochester, NY to kick off the season in the Just Get Good Labor Day Classic hosted by Evolve and The BEAST Series. The tournament features some teams who figure to be ranked in the top ten nationally. The 2011’s fresh off their top 15 finish in the country, an AYHL Regular Season Championship, and the AYHL Playoff Championship are excited to take their game against some of the best players from their birth year. Last season the team worked hard to prove they belong competing with top talent and this season it will be harder to stay on top of the game. Spring and Summer brought some normalcy to the group as many of the boy’s participated in Team PA Brick programming and played well as part of GOTTA Hockey Elite 2011 that brought home some tournament hardware in every outing. Assistant and Forwards Coach Nederostek is impressed with the team’s growth over the Summer months but has been stressing to the group that “everyone knows who you are, and we are going to be everyone’s Super Bowl week in and out.” Their schedule in the round robin shows no mercy as they face premier organizations like Chicago Fury, Boston Americans, Victory Honda, and Little Caesars (coached by Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup winning Goaltender Chris Osgood) The boys are anxious to get the 2021-22 campaign started in a challenging fashion in what should be another thrilling year. Check out the Phantoms 2011’s as they open their AYHL League Season at home on Saturday September 11th at 6:30 PM at Steel Ice Center vs the Valley Forge Minutemen. Lots of festivities are planned like raising their championship banners, a live national anthem, 50/50 raffle, and so much more. Visit www.phantomsyouth.org for more info.
