The Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth is pleased to announce that Joe Slowik will be Head Coaching at the Pee Wee level for the 2018/19 season. Joe brings a tremendous amount of hockey knowledge as well as an ability to motivate and connect with his players. Joe is a fixture at the rink, not only coaching his Squirt A team but helping at any practice he has the time for. He is truly an asset to the organization and we are thrilled to have him back for another season.

Joe Slowik has been playing and coaching hockey for the past 20 years.  Joe grew up playing his youth hockey for the Delco Phantoms in the DVHL.  After his youth, Joe went on to play in college for the University of Scranton.  Joe played all 4 years at Scranton and served as the team Captain in his final season.  Joe graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors in Communication with a Coaching Minor. After graduation, Joe became a certified NCAA and NAIA recruiter and currently works part time as a scout for athletesforcollege.com.  In addition to this role, he served as the University of Scranton’s player development coach and recruiting director.

Upon moving to the Lehigh Valley in the spring of 2016, Joe started working as the assistant coach of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth Tier 1 Elite’s 2007 program.  In 2017 – 2018 Joe took on his first head coaching assignment at the U10 Squirt American level where he led the team to the DVHL Playoffs and a very successful season.
