Squirt A Goalie, Aiden Green, is participating in the Save Pucks to Save Lives Challenge during the month of October.  Please see the letter from The Green Family below regarding this challenge!

Hello everyone. I am honored to announce that, my son, Aidan has decided to participate in the October Saves program! What is October Saves you ask? This is a way for goaltenders to help make a difference in the world.

October Saves was started in 2014 by the goaltending coach of the Ashburn Extreme as a way to instill philanthropy and leadership in his goalies along with great net minding skills. So the challenge was to get people to donate money for every save you make and they donated it to cancer research facilities! In 2014, it was only available for the Asburn Extreme to partake in! This year there are over 500 goalies participating, including Braden Holtby and Jake Allen!
Cancer has touched each and everyone one of us at some point in our lives. Whether it is a loved one, co-worker, or a friend! Typically, when cancer fundraising is done in October it only benefits Breast cancer. But October Saves helps fund all types of cancer research! They are also a 501C3 for tax season. The EIF Federal Tax ID number 45-3533525.

So this is the part where we need your help! Anyone who would like to help can go to Octobersaves.org. Then go to find a goalie and type in Aidan Green (or type this in https://octobersaves.org/goalie-list/?keyword=aidan+green). You can either make a per save donation or a flat donation. It's that simple! If Aidan can raise enough money he could possibly win some prizes! But no matter what he is a winner for wanting to do this!
