OPERATION THANK YOU

Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth 18AA & 18A along with Skate It Forward, Inc. Supports

Operation Thank You

-Skate It Forward, Inc. and LV Phantoms Youth 18AA & 18A are proud to partner with Operation Thank You this year to show support of our military troops.

-Skate It Forward, Inc.’s core mission is to join together as a hockey family encompassing coaches, players, parents, and hockey organizations to help give back to the community and individuals in need, while incorporating values of leadership, respect, community service, generosity, and sportsmanship in youth athletes while continuing to foster a love of the game. Skate It Forward, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 organization.

-Operation Thank You was formed in 2003 by Richard Dygos, a teacher in the West Milford school district located in northern New Jersey.  Operation Thank You is a program where care packages are sent to troops who are bravely serving our country overseas in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan.  The goal of Operation Thank You is to help put a smile on the faces of our troops while they are away from their families and friends.  This program originates from Rich’s personal funds and donations from the community.

-A list of requested items from our soldiers themselves follows.  Please join us in supporting our troops this holiday season – remember these men and women will not make it home for the holidays with their families; we hope to come together to put smiles on their faces while they are far from home!

-If you would like to participate in Operation Thank You to assist our troops, please purchase items from the list below.  Items will be collected starting on “Hockey Day” – Saturday, 10/13 at SIC. Collection boxes will be available at SIC through November 11th.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation and support!

Please Support Our 4 Legged Soldiers!
18AA and 18A are partnering with SKATE IT FORWARD, INC.

Our canine friends are in need! Support our Military Working Dogs and their handlers by joining us in collecting items to support our MWD working overseas.

Military Working Dogs are trained to do a number of tasks none of which would be considered basic. Dogs are trained on base a nd within combat missions and are used for security, law and order, force protection, detecting insurgents, narcotics, landmines, IED’s, firearms, ammunition, explosives and are used in search and rescue. Many times our K9 friends are the first to enter a hazardous life threatening situation.

18AA and 18A will be collecting the following items for our K9 friends on Hockey Day, Saturday 10/13. Please join us in honoring these animals who assist our soldiers in serving our country!
