Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth Mite Program invaded Hershey PA over the weekend of October 25th – 27th. All four teams (Mite Major, Mite Minor, Lite Travel Black, Lite Travel Orange) took part in a Mite Tournament that saw over 80 teams compete for the Halloween Howl Championship. On Friday evening after everyone finished playing all four teams participated in a Trunk or Treat. Players and parents dressed up in costumes, ate food, played street hockey, went trunk or treating, and overall had a great time. The tournament was a huge success as all four teams did well and got to play in historic Hersheypark Arena. Lite Travel Orange won their consolation game, Lite Travel Black made the Semi-Finals as did Mite Minor, and Mite Major was able to win the championship. For all the players to start the season off with such a fun event just helps build their love and passion for this great game. Mite Director Keith Krem has been pleased with the Mite Program this season and he is excited for the future as the organization having success at the Mite Level only helps build a strong foundation for the rest of the Phantoms Youth.
